ITINERARY

 

Day 1: Istanbul- Izmir / Ephesus Full day Guided Tour Kusadasi

Early morning transfer to Istanbul Ataturk airport for your flight to Izmir airport. Upon arrival meet with driver and transfer to meeting point in Selcuk. We will be starting with a visit to the Isa Bey Mosque from 14th Century, proceed to Ephesus Ancient City which dated back to the third millennium B.C the remains of this important city are standing miraculously today, vivid witnesses of a glorious past. Among the well preserved ruins the theatre, Celsius Library, Agora, Odeon, Domitian’s Temple, Trajan Fountain, Roman Latrine are the most remarkable. Lunch will be in Selcuk town. In the afternoon visit House of Mother Mary which is situated on top of the mount of the Nightingale. House of Mother Mary is spiritual place also believed that where she spent recent years of her life. Then visit Temple of Artemis. It was one of the seven ancient Wonders of the World. In the afternoon, a visit to the carpet weaving co-operation to see how the Turkish carpets are made by hand. Hotel in Kusadasi for overnight stay in. (L, D)

 

Day 2: Kusadasi Pamukkale & Hierapolis

Today will be long but very impressive, in the morning we depart for Pamukkale which takes about three hours, a short break on the way; View the Cotton Castle, the unique white calcium waterfall; Lunch break; Hierapolis, an ancient health spa with the largest necropolis (cemetery) in the Ancient Turkey; remains of Hierapolis ancient city are worth to see. Drive back to Kusadasi for overnight stay. (B, L, D)

 

Day 3: Priene, Miletus, Didyma

Daily tour to Priene, Miletus and Didyma starts with Priene which is the first city planned with grid-system built on hillside. We will be walking in between the theater, the temple of Athena, the Bouleterium, the Agora, and the Altar of Zeus and Cybele. Later on departure to Miletus, the home of the Thales (who is according to Herodotus, and Eudemos May 28, BC 585 are assumed to have occurred) has reported forecasted solar eclipse. He has been dealing with astronomy and solstices as one of the first astronomer to calculate in advance. See the remains of Ancient Miletus, Delphinium, the Nymphanion, the Teather, and the Faustina Baths. Keep driving to Didyma for lunch, continue to Didyma Apollo Temple to visit its gigantic columns which is the biggest Oracle Center of ancient Turkey. Transfer to Izmir airport, for your flight to Istanbul Ataturk airport. Meet with your name sign at the gate and transfer to your hotel in Istanbul. End of our services. (B, L)
