ITINERARY
Day 1: Departure from Dubrovnik, Croatia to Montenegro
Pick up from Dubrovnik and departure towards Montenegro. Drive along Boka Kotorska bay with stop and individual visit to Kotor. Afternoon visit to Cetinje, the former capital of Montenegro. Recommended to visit is the national museum, Relief museum. Overnight in Budva.
Day 2: Montenegro coast line and Albania
Morning drive along Montenegro coast line, with photo stop by Sveti Stefan island. Upon entering into Albania, stop at Shkodra, once capital of the Illyrian kingdom and possibility to visit Rozafa castle. Afternoon arrival to the mountain town Kruje, with visit to the Skanderbeg castle and museum.Overnight in Tirana.
Day 3: Tirana and Albanian Coastline
After breakfast drive towards the biggest Albanian port Durres. Coffee break at the city center and drive towards Vlore. From here begins the picturesque coastal road along the Albanian coastline, passing Llogara NP, with magnificent views of the Ionian see. Arrival in Saranda late afternoon. Overnight in Saranda (B)
Day 4: Ancient site Butrinti and Ioanina
In a morning, guided visit to Butrinti ancient site. Departure towards Greece and the picturesque town of Ioanina. Afternoon at leisure, we recommend a boat ride to the island on Ioanina lake or simply to explore the old town of Ioanina and Ali pasha fortress. Overnight in Ioanina (B).
Day 5: Greek Mountains
Drive from Ioanina on the mountain highway to the picturesque village Metsovo. Coffee stop and continue towards Meteora monasteries. Afternoon visit to two Meteora monasteries. Overnight in Kalambaka, on the slopes of Meteora hills. (B).
Day 6: South part of Greece
Morning drive towards Delfoi ancient site. Individual visit to the museum and the site. Afternoon drive towards Athens. Arrival in Athens late afternoon and drop of at your hotel in Athens.
