Day 1: Arrival in Istanbul
Arrival in Istanbul and transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Istanbul.
Day 2: Full Day Old City Tour
Start your day with a delicious breakfast at the hotel before embarking on a full-day sightseeing tour of Istanbul. Our first stop is the magnificent Topkapi Palace, where you have the option to explore the harem section. Next, we'll visit the ancient Roman Hippodrome, once the vibrant center of chariot races. Then, we'll marvel at the stunning Hagia Sophia, originally a Byzantine church converted into a mosque in the 15th century. Continuing our Sultanahmet tour, we'll visit the iconic Blue Mosque before concluding at the Grand Covered Bazaar, where you'll have free time to explore its 4000 shops nestled within the world's largest covered bazaar. Overnight stay in Istanbul. (Lunch included)
Day 3: Half Day Morning Bosphorus Cruise
our day begins with a pick-up from your hotel, Get ready for a journey in the Spice Bazaar, also known as the Egyptian Bazaar. Here, immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere filled with an array of spices, dried fruits, nuts, seeds, and the irresistible aroma of Turkish delight.
Following your exploration of the Spice Bazaar, you'll join a shared boat excursion on the picturesque Bosphorus. Relax and soak in the panoramic views of Ottoman palaces, the iconic Bosphorus Bridge, ancient citadels, and centuries-old mansions adorning both the European and Asian shorelines.
As the tour concludes around 1:00 pm, you'll be dropped back to your hotel, where you can reflect on the beauty and history witnessed during your excursion. Enjoy the rest of your evening in Istanbul, filled with memories of your delightful Bosphorus adventure. Overnight stay in Istanbul. (No Meal)
Day 4: Ephesus and Laodicea
Begin your day with an early morning transfer to Istanbul Ataturk Airport for your flight to Izmir. Upon arrival, you'll be greeted by your guide and embark on a journey to Ephesus, one of the revered "Seven Churches of Revelation."
Your first stop is the St. John Basilica, a sacred site honoring the apostle John, followed by a visit to the Last Abode of the Virgin Mary at Mount Solmissos, where it's believed she spent her final days.
Next, explore the ancient Greco-Roman city of Ephesus, a pivotal location in early Christianity and the most significant of the Seven Churches of Asia Minor. It was here that St. John brought Mary, fulfilling his promise to Jesus to protect her, and where she is believed to have been assumed into heaven.
After a fulfilling day of exploration, enjoy a delicious lunch before continuing your journey to Laodicea, a renowned crossroads of the ancient world.
As the day draws to a close, settle in for an overnight stay in Pamukkale, reflecting on the profound history and spirituality experienced throughout the day. (Lunch included)
Day 5: Pamukkale, Sardis and Philadelphia and Thyatira
Start your day with a visit to the ancient city of Hierapolis, renowned as the home of Philip the Evangelist. Take in the fascinating history and architectural marvels of this ancient site before pausing to marvel at the breathtaking calcium terraces of Pamukkale.
Afterward, journey onwards to Philadelphia (Alasehir), the youngest of the "Seven Churches of Revelation." Here, explore the still-standing remnants of an early church and the ancient city walls, immersing yourself in the rich history and spiritual significance of the area.
As the day progresses, enjoy a leisurely lunch before continuing your pilgrimage to the ancient city and ruins of the famous church of Sardis, the former Lydian capital. Delve into the remnants of the church of Thyatira before setting off for Pergamon, where you'll spend the night.
Reflect on the profound experiences of the day as you settle in for an overnight stay in Pergamon, surrounded by echoes of ancient civilizations and spiritual enlightenment. (Lunch included)
Day 6: Pergamon
After breakfast, we set off for Pergamon (Bergama), a significant site mentioned in the writings of St. John, where he referred to it as the place where "Satan's throne is sited." Explore the Church of Pergamon, the imposing Red Court, and the ancient Acropolis, soaking in the rich history and spiritual significance of this remarkable location.
Following a fulfilling morning of exploration, we'll enjoy a delicious lunch before continuing our journey to Smyrna (Izmir), a city praised by St. Paul for the faithfulness of its early believers. Visit the St. Polycarp Church, a testament to the enduring legacy of Christianity in the region, and take a short tour of the city to uncover its cultural treasures.
As the day comes to a close, we'll transfer to Kusadasi, where you'll spend the night, surrounded by the echoes of ancient faith and modern tranquility. (Lunch included)
Day 7: Kusadasi- Istanbul
Enjoy some leisure time to explore Kusadasi at your own pace or consider extending your journey with one of our exclusive tour packages.
